MLOL Help
Ensure that you enter search criteria for only one of the three types of searches. Example, when searching for owner, do not enter anything on the Search by Block area. To do a fresh search click the Search MLOL link.
Search by Owner
Use this option to search for an owner, or owners, of Maori land.
| Step | Hints/Tips | |

| 1 | On the Search MLOL page, enter a first name (or names) in the First Name field. | You must enter between 1 and 50 characters in this field. |
| 2 | Enter a surname in the Last Name field. | You must enter between 1 and 50 characters in this field. |
| 3 | Select a district from the "Refine Search (optional)" drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. | This step is optional. If you don't refine your search the system searches all districts, by default. |
| 4 | Click the search button under the Last Name field. | The Search Results page opens displaying a list of owners (that match your search criteria) and their respective land-block interests.
If there are no matches to your search criteria a message is displayed - "No data found. Please try again." |
| 5 | Click on a block's name to display the Block Details page. | |
| 6 | On the Block Details page, click the Owner's "Click to view" button. | The ownership details page opens. There is a "Print this screen" option on the right side of the page. |
| 7 | Click your browser's back button twice to return to the list of Search Results. | Alternatively if you wish to do a fresh search click the Search MLOL link. |
Search by Block
Use this option to search for Maori land blocks and their owners.

| 1 | On the Search MLOL page, enter the name of a Maori Land block in the "Search by Block" field. | |
| 2 | Select a district from the "Refine Search (optional)" drop-down menu at the bottom of the page. | This step is optional. If you don't refine your search the system searches all districts, by default. |
| 3 | Click the search button under the Search by Block field. | |
| 4 | The Search Results page displays a list of blocks matching your search criteria. | If there are more than 100 blocks that match the search criteria you have entered, you will be asked to refine your search.
You can do this by selecting a district from the "Refine Search (optional)" drop-down menu or by including the alpha/numeric description of the block (e.g. "Maori Block 1A2D"). |
| 5 | Click on a block name to display the Block Details page. | |

To display any memorials on a block, follow steps 1-5 above and then continue with the following.

Search by Trust/Reserves/Incorporations (Management Structure)
Use this option to display:-
- Maori-land blocks administered by a trust, reserve, or incorporation.

| 3 | Click the search button under the Search by Trust / Reserves / Incorporations field. | |
| 4 | The Search Results page appears and lists the Management Structures and blocks. | If there are more than 100 Management Structures that match the search criteria you have entered, you will be asked to refine your search. You can do this by selecting a district from the "Refine Search (optional)" drop-down menu (if you have not done so already). |

To list the trustees or proprietors of a Management Structure, follow steps 1-4 above and continue with the following:
